ROTTO – 2ft – 4ft, loads of fun!
Not sure what is happening down at Bondi because I found somewhere better
to surf today – Rotto (hence mega late report). Perth, Western Australia
isn’t famous for it waves locally, but 20 kilometres off the coast of
Perth is Rottnest Island which has great waves. A sensationally beautiful
island that gravitates any swell lingering off the WA coastline. Today
we surfed the most popular break on the island called Strickos. Fortunately
the offshore winds were blowing and a bit of swell was finding its way
to the reefy break. 2 – 4 ft rights and lefts with loads more power than
Bondage. Perfectly sunny 31 degrees day, it doesn’t get any better in
this laid back part of the world. Surprised to see quite a few crew out
(Howard surf team?). The word on the street is that Bondi was onshore
and mushy, so it sounds like we took the better option. Had a ball. Thanks
Christian Tana for taking us over there…
